Hi.. Everyone

Video is also available on my channel on Youtube/artistapooja..
Isn’t these painted canvases looking beautiful..!! This is acrylic painting of sunflowers for beginners…
It cost varies from country to country.. Here in India.. It cost 15-20 rupees around for A4.. size…
So let’s begin with the process..
Materials required for making handmade canvases..
*Hardboard sheet (hard and stiff from home wastage)
*Buckram cloth (this cloth is easily available on local cloth stores. This cloth is use by tailors to stiffen some areas of dresses example collars and cufflinks)
*Gesso texture (example Camel artists gesso, easily available on art stores)
*student’s glue (example fevicol or Camlin krafty glue )
*palette knife (optional) butter knife can also use..
*paper cutter
*white plain paper sheet (to cover back side of canvas)
Step by step tutorial of how to make handmade CANVAS at home with pictures…..
First cut the hardboard sheet of the size required to make canvas board..
Now cut the size of buckram cloth by just placing the hardboard sheet and leave 2-3 inches each side so it can cover and fold properly..
Apply student’s glue (here i am using Camlin krafty glue) each side and press and paste it with the help of hands…
Then cover the back side of ready handmade canvas board with white paper sheet to make it more neat…
So here the handmade canvas board is half ready… Let’s cover this by applying a layer of texture gesso here i have used Camel artists gesso..
Why is it important to cover it with gesso????
Canvas become more smoother as compared to.. and it will absorb less paints…
Here I am showing both canvas..First one is covered gesso on buckram cloth and second only buckram cloth.. So you compare and find the difference..
There is little shine on gesso coated canvas…
So hope you find this article useful…
